Teardrops and Flip Flops

Introducing Lark Griffing’s new romantic comedy
Teardrops and Flip Flops
A Gone to the Dogs Camper Romance

https://www.amazon.com/Teardrops-Flip-Flops-Romantic-Traveling-ebook/dp/B07MB75WKG

Ruby’s love life has gone to the dogs. Literally.

Ruby always longed for adventure – hiking for months on end or living like a gypsy in an RV – but instead, she settled for a comfortable relationship with a man who worshipped her.  That is until he died, leaving her a teardrop trailer and the permission to find her adventure and a true love who would curl her toes.

What did she wind up with?

A stray dog who just might be her dead husband reincarnated and a good-looking photographer sniffing after her who thinks Ruby is fantastic.

The dog is not amused.

Ruby is conflicted.

Can Ruby move past the pain of losing her husband, follow her heart, and find what she has always been looking for?   Can her dog stop growling at men long enough for her to figure out what she wants?  Can any man tolerate the package that is Ruby and the dog, George?

Do you really drink Thst drink I can’t spell it
Do you cook all that great food
Add your recipes to book 3

      • Yes, I do drink mojitos. In fact I grow my own mint to make them. I love cooking, and I cook all of the food mentioned in the books. I do it when we are camping. I own a little teardrop trailer that my husband, son, and I built one summer. We have had some wonderful adventures in her. I am not planning on adding the recipes into the third book, but stay tuned because Ruby might consider sharing them in the near future.

Is there anything fun you could write me to share at my first book club meeting , I bought
Mogitos taffy lol , I bought a shirt to wear and lol I can’t find it
My one friend Shirley is 84, it was a hard book for her to read , she just lost her husband and dog but I think in the end it helped her , if you ever come through Ventura , we’d love to meet you and we have a really cool new campground
Wayfair, it’s all vintage air stream trailers and you can bring your tear dorp , we read one and two and I’m so thankful George is still with us
          Have fun writing ,
          Janice
I’ll share a funny memory of my family camping ,I went to make s’mores and my chocolate was frozen , I live my life like I’m camping , nothing has to be perfect and it’s alwYs an adventure , I live in av1964 mobil home , it’s fun

          • You sounds like you have fun. I agree, live like you’re camping and don’t take life or yourself too seriously!

I am sorry for Shirley’s loss. It had to be very hard for her to read this book. I hope she found some joy in it, and I hope she can remember the good times with fondness.

You can tell your book club that when we were building our teardrop, our dog Maggie thought it was her dog house. When we take her camping, she sleeps between my husband and I. She stretches out completely, pushing us aside with her feet. My husband and I end up sleeping up against the sides of the camper and Maggie takes the whole bed.

Probably one of the most amusing things that happened when we were camping in Ruby Sue (that’s the camper’s name) was the kitchen got raided by a wild horse. We were on Assateague Island camping on the beach. We had the back hatch open which is where the kitchen is housed. A mare and her foal walked under our EZ-up and raided the pantry. She pulled a bag of English muffins off the shelf and tried to help herself. I was not amused!

Enjoy your book club and tell them I am working on book three as fast as I can, but I am also writing a couple more novels at the same time. Busy Busy Busy!!!

I’ll look up more of your books
Thank you for such a fun real book and
I’ve met a guy name Paul , it’s hard to trust , but because of you I’ll just have a little adventure and I’ll keep you posted

Is there gonna be a third book. Love the George/Ruby/Joe chemistry. Hope to see another in the series.

    • Thank you, Nanette. Yes, I am working on the third book now. I got slowed down a bit because of an anthology I am working. I had to finish my novella for that and a follow-up novel. The anthology is called Grey’s Harbor, and it will release January 2020, and I still haven’t named the follow-up novel, which will release the same time. If all goes well, the next novel featuring George/Ruby/and Joe will release around the same time, or maybe sooner.

I just finished both of the “teardrops” books and I am hooked! This genre is way outside of my usual post-apocalyptic/doomsday reading that I am drawn to. But I stumbled upon the first book and decided to give it a try… I was NOT disappointed! I love how sweet and light-hearted these books are, and I couldn’t love the connection between Joe and George more! I’m anxious for book 3, and have been telling anyone who will listen to go read these books!

    • That is so awesome that you are hooked and into a new genre, also. Woot woot. Thank you. Thanks for spreading the love. I appreciate it. Hang tight, I am working on book three.

I just discovered you and the Teardrop series. I usually read dystopian fiction but felt a need for something different. I must say I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. These books are great and Iove the interaction between Joe and George. They are hilarious. I can’t wait for the next one in this series!
